On the surface our story is not all that interesting: boy meets girl, boy marries girl, boy and girl have way too many kids. But if you look a little closer you'll see all the little nuances that make up a very unique not exactly nuclear family. We are a family of 'bigs' and 'littles'. Three children received in the regular way. And then triplets by way of Alaska and Embryo Adoption. Yeah. Kinda weird.
The most fun, engaging, difficult, annoying, frustrating, painful and fulfilling thing on earth. The world is a really tough place to live. We're very glad not to do it alone. And yes...that picture is really, really old.
It's about the toughest job you'll ever have. And the most important. We freely admit that we are no experts - but we also freely admit that we've learned a LOT of lessons along the way. With a lot of trial and error, a lot of mentorship and a lot of parenting books and blogs; we've been able to develop a methodology that has produced some pretty amazing kids. We hope a bit what we do might be beneficial to you!
Not exactly conservative. Not exactly Liberal. These are the thoughts of someone who has a foot in both worlds and the core belief that humanity is not simple that it can be divided into two base categories. Rather, I believe there is a third way to understand the world - and in that third way there are so very many nuances. Religion, politics, social commentary and all the other things you're not supposed to talk about. I will gladly touch the third rail.
